2023 Spokatopia Watersports Demos/Activities
Spokatopia is a great event to try different types of watercraft in the lake-like waters of the Spokane River behind Upriver Dam at Boulder Beach. The beach is a five minute walk east on the Centennial Trail from the main festival area at Camp Sekani Park (follow the signs). Find directions and parking info here.
Water sports demos run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, July 8 and require a $10 Spokatopia adventure pass or higher value pass and signed waiver at the event. Bring a towel, paddling clothes (you might get wet!), sunscreen, and your ID. Demos are first-come-first serve and are typically limited to 15-30 minutes per demo depending on how many people are waiting to try a board or boat behind you. You can demo as many boats, boards, and hydrofoil boards and bikes as you like.

Free with your Spokatopia pass of any level, join a ride in the Spokane Canoe & Kayak Club’s (SCKC) 8-person Voyager canoe! Sign up for a tour at the SCKC booth at Boulder Beach.
Flat water tandem kayak tours: Join Spokane Parks & Rec for a two-hour tandem kayak tour of the incredible river scenery upstream from Boulder Beach. Three tours available (9-11 AM, 12-2PM, and 3-5PM). $40 per person, includes a Spokatopia Adventure Pass, instruction, and equipment. More info and registration link here.
